The study of art forever changed the way I view this world!
I am passionate about, and endlessly inspired by, Canada’s north and eastern seaboard landscapes and wildlife, translating my experiences and adventures through my art. The peace and calm of forests and shorelines; the scent and vibrant colour of the seasons; the swirling movement of skies, lakes and rivers are my motivation.
Following the study of Art History at University of Ottawa, I had the privilege to study with many recognized artists across Canada. Although my career was demanding, there were moments of precious time to attend workshops and classes at Dundas Valley
School of Art, where I ventured into the worlds of pottery, watercolour and acrylic/oil painting, fresco, fused glass and encaustics (melted beeswax). I have experienced amazing “ah hah” moments and have learned to appreciate the value of happy accidents
Brantford has been my home for the past four years. There is so much to admire and enjoy about this city. When I am not painting, I volunteer with a dedicated group of people to help grow and revitalize the downtown.
I am grateful for, and constantly inspired by, my fellow members of the Brant Visual Artists Guild and the Creative Works Studio in Waterdown, Ontario.
